Emergency Repairs
Q. What constitutes an emergency?
A.“Something dangerous or serious, such as an accident which, happens suddenly or unexpectedly and needs immediate action in order to avoid dangerous or seriously damaging results” Example: Loss of television reception would NOT be classed as an emergency.
Q. What is meant by “communal”?
A. “Where the item does not relate solely to an individual property, but instead affects more than one owner within a particular block or development”
* In respect of the All Trades Contractors, we would confirm that, this would include for the following services, unless otherwise stated: Joiner - Plumber – Electrician – Roofer – Slater – Plasterer - Brickwork Please note that the below contractors should ONLY be used in the case of an EMERGENCY and should not be contacted unless the problem is of a communal nature.
Reporting Repairs
Where your property is less than 2 years old, the repair may be covered by the developers warranty, either by way of the Build Mark or NHBC Guarantee, individual problems or queries should be reported directly to the Customer Care Department of the Development Company, from whom you purchased the property. Please be advised, that where an owner uses these emergency numbers for individual repairs, they alone will be responsible for the invoice from the contractor, including any emergency call out charges.
Normal working hours are deemed to be 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday and any problems which occur within this timeframe, which affect a common part of the development or building should be reported directly to Greenhome Head Office.
